Villa Fraulo is a wonderful hotel located in the center of Ravello, the most beautiful town on the Amalfi Coast. Of medieval origin (the palace was built in 1200, and here have lived ancient noble families ), the building has undergone several renovations over the centuries, keeping intact, however, the original charm, in which the play of the vaults and the brilliance of the marbles intertwine in perfect symbiosis with the most modern and luxurious comforts.
From 2005 to 2010 it was rebuilt and, now, is one of the best 4-star hotels in Ravello. It is featured with a splendid terrace overlooking the sea, surely the most beautiful in Ravello, and has two entrances: one main entrance, on Via S.Giovanni del Toro, number 6, an ancient Roman road, and the secondary one, very useful because, easily, accessible, at Via Giovanni Boccaccio n.6.
Our rooms are designed in full respect of the ancient dwelling, with elements of modern design blend with elegant antiques in a harmonious contrast that characterizes all the rooms of Hotel Villa Fraulo: elegantly decorated in shades of white, the hotel rooms, create a wonderful color contrast with the blue of the sky and sea. In addition, the suites include a private terrace with a view of the sparkling sea of the Coast, a cozy living room furnished with exquisitely crafted furniture, and a sleeping area.
In addition to the beautiful and cozy rooms, enhancing the stay of our guests is the breakfast served buffet style, where you can choose from a wide and rich assortment ranging from the juices of the fragrant citrus fruits of the Amalfi Coast, to the colorful fruit tarts, from genuine cheeses to the fluffy croissanterie, not forgetting the taste of classic espresso coffee. The spacious dining room of Hotel Villa Fraulo is enriched by an imposing fireplace made of light-colored stone of a mineral nature, which can be placed between the late 19th and early 20th century in neoclassical style, and a veranda made of glass, from which one can enjoy the breathtaking view sheltered from bad weather.
The splendid marble fountain placed in the center of the terrace suspended between the sea and the sky of the Amalfi Coast evokes an atmosphere of yesteryear, ideally fitting in to complement sumptuous banquets and romantic dinners.
