A very short walk from the Duomo, located on the second floor of a charming eighteenth-century building with original mosaic floors, this restaurant is managed by young and friendly staff. It offers excellent cuisine from Puglia, both seafood and meat, which is sometimes updated and adapted to current trends. In the summertime, service on the large terrace is available. Set inside the palace Tondi-Vignola of 1700s, in the heart of Galatina a few steps from the most important churches of the place, stands the restaurant with creative cuisine of the territory Anima & Cuore. Anima & Cuore is a lovely warm and cosy restaurant with decorated vaulted ceilings, alcoves and mosaic flooring that recall the history of the place. In summer it has a large outdoor area from which you can enjoy a wonderful panorama and dine under the stars in the moonlight. The management is young and friendly, the cuisine of Puglia, including both seafood and meat, which is sometimes revamped and focuses on the modern take on the classic recipes of the culinary tradition of Salento. The chef who owns the restaurant loves to mix and match typical local dishes with Mediterranean and national recipes as well as personally taking care of every aspect of the dishes according to the creativity and inspiration of the moment. The menu ranges between seafood and meat with “Km0 and Miglio0” products and varies according to the seasons. Anima & Cuore’s speciality is fresh fish purchased daily from the fish markets of Gallipoli, Leuca and Santa Cesarea. Meat lovers should not miss the horse fillet with Negroamaro wine on Galatina’s PDO potato croutons or baked in a scrumptious pastry crust. A Vegan-Friendly menu is available every day. An excellent wine list with a selection of wineries and wines from Italy and abroad, as well as champagne and Franciacorta.
