RISTORANTE BELCORE

A hidden gem steps away from Santa Maria Novella!

For 15 years, Ristorante Belcore has been featured in the prestigious Gambero Rosso and Michelin guides: a must-visit destination for both Florentines and tourists. Discovering this restaurant is an experience that leaves a lasting impression, making it an ideal choice for those who seek high-quality cuisine.

The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between elegance and warmth, where every staff member conveys their passion for hospitality and gastronomy. The cuisine is a harmonious fusion of Italian, French, Mediterranean, and Japanese influences, based on carefully selected ingredients and a meticulous presentation, with a menu that changes every two months.

Located on a quiet street near the central Santa Maria Novella station, Ristorante Belcore is a cosmopolitan venue, featuring two elegantly furnished dining rooms enhanced by rotating art exhibitions throughout the year. T

he name “Belcore” is inspired by a character from Donizetti’s opera L’Elisir d’Amore, a seductive soldier, much like the restaurant’s ambiance captivates its visitors. Thanks to the expertise of Abdel, the Moroccan owner who has lived in Italy since 1990, and Chef Ryoko, a Japanese chef with over 20 years of experience in Italy, each dish reflects a perfect blend of Italian techniques and Japanese aesthetics.

The extensive menu includes traditional dishes like pici senesi all’aglione and bistecca alla fiorentina, alongside specialties such as sea bream ravioli with baby vegetables on fontina and pistachio cream, sous-vide milk-fed pork rack with sweet potato chips, mustard and apple sauce, or crispy octopus on celeriac cream with sun-dried tomato sauce and Taggiasca olives. All dishes are expertly paired with a selection of 320 wine labels.

The tasting menu, featuring five courses plus dessert for € 57, combines Tuscan tradition with fresh, visually stunning dishes. For dessert lovers, there’s a tempting selection, including a cocoa soufflé with dark chocolate ganache and vanilla ice cream, Madagascar vanilla crème brûlée with fresh fruit, and their beloved cheesecake with orange sauce and natural vanilla. What truly sets Ristorante

Belcore apart is its dedication to excellence and customer care. Each guest is promptly escorted to their table and never left unattended. Upon arrival, every guest is welcomed with a complimentary glass of prosecco and a small appetizer, setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.
