Taste of the Mediterranean in the heart of Rome
Every corner of Rome, from Michelin-starred restaurants to small trattorias, competes to attract curious visitors in search of new experiences. In such a saturated environment, the real challenge is finding a unique voice: Pesciolino, a restaurant and fish bar, has found its way to stand out for its modern and sophisticated atmosphere as well as its culinary offerings that blend tradition and innovation. Whether opting for a quick lunch, a refined dinner, or an aperitif at the counter, Pesciolino brings the sea closer to the vibrant heart of Rome.
Located on the historic Via Belsiana, just a few steps from Piazza di Spagna, it is a small marine retreat with 35 seats in a meticulously designed environment. The open kitchen allows guests to observe the chefs in action, transforming every meal into a sensory experience.
This is not fusion cuisine in the strictest sense, but rather a gastronomic journey where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Ocean, enriched by subtle foreign influences that add originality while respecting the quality of the catch.
Respect for raw ingredients is the foundational principle: every element is carefully selected, following seasonality and sustainability, to ensure that each dish reflects the best of the Italian coastline, prepared with exotic accents and modern techniques. The catch of the day further highlights Pesciolino’s dedication to quality.
The menu offers unconventional pairings with vegetables, herbs, seaweed, and spices, creating unexpected contrasts and aromatic notes. Guests can choose between a complete tasting menu or personalize their dining experience by selecting individual dishes. Cooked offerings range from light appetizers, such as fried anchovies with aioli and crispy shrimp croquettes, to more elaborate creations like lobster tagliolini with coconut milk and lime or gnocchi with burrata and red prawns.
Classic Italian options, such as linguine with clams and bottarga, are also available: the quality of the organic pasta harmonizes with the seafood. Among the main courses, highlights include grilled octopus and the catch of the day. The section dedicated to raw dishes features oysters from the Baie du Mont Saint-Michel and red prawns from Mazara del Vallo, complemented by passion fruit acidity or the smoothness of tiger’s milk in salmon ceviche.
For dessert, Pesciolino offers both traditional treats like tiramisu and innovative creations such as a vegan raw cheesecake or a white chocolate sphere with ricotta mousse and berries. With the launch of its new 2024 menu, Pesciolino will welcome guests daily from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Whether you’re in the mood for a light lunch or a gourmet dinner, Pesciolino promises a refined Mediterranean experience in the heart of Rome.
