Caffè Brasil is a tale of passion, tradition, and quality that began in the 1950s, when Mr. Gioacchino, father of the current owner, set out for Venezuela—one of South America’s leading coffee producers. There, he immersed himself in a culture that celebrates coffee and learned its secrets. Upon returning to Sicily in 1974, he brought back a wealth of experience and a clear vision: to create a premium product that embodies the true essence of coffee.
Thus, Torrefazione Brasil was born—an artisan coffee roasting company that has been dedicated for over 40 years to selecting, processing, and roasting the finest coffee beans. With great dedication, Mr. Gioacchino and his family transformed consumer tastes, bringing the authentic Sicilian espresso to homes and cafés across Palermo and beyond.
Caffè Brasil’s production process is entirely artisanal, adhering to rigorous quality standards. It begins with the careful selection of the best raw coffee beans sourced from South and Central America. We primarily favor Arabica varieties, complemented by a small percentage of high-quality Robusta, essential for creating unique and distinctive blends.
The roasting process is pivotal: we employ a slow hotair roasting method, which enhances the natural aroma of the beans and ensures a harmonious flavor profile. After a natural aging period, the beans are blended and packaged using modern machinery that preserves their freshness and quality. This approach allows us to honor tradition while leveraging advanced technology to meet our customers’ expectations.
Thanks to this philosophy, our blends have won over not only families but also the finest cafés in Palermo, where our coffee is considered a professional secret.
