Located at Via dei Servi, 37, the restaurant is housed in a charming 17th-century building, where ancient cellars with vaulted ceilings have been transformed into an inviting space that blends tradition with comfort. The space itself is a reflection of the city’s rich history, with exposed brick walls and wooden beams, creating a cozy atmosphere where every meal feels like a special occasion.
At Taverna dei Servi, we take great pride in serving traditional Modenese cuisine, offering dishes that celebrate the region’s culinary heritage while embracing the finest, locally sourced ingredients. The heart of our kitchen is the homemade pasta, crafted with the care and attention of our talented chefs. You’ll find a variety of beloved Modenese dishes, including tortelloni filled with ricotta and spinach, tortelloni stuffed with seasonal pumpkin, delicate tortellini, rich tagliatelle, and soft potato and pumpkin gnocchi.
For a truly authentic experience, indulge in our famous bollito misto (boiled meats) served with an assortment of house-made sauces, or savor our delicious gnocco fritto and crescentine, traditional Modenese fried dough served with a variety of accompaniments. What makes Taverna dei Servi unique is the exceptional focus on balsamic vinegar, a much beloved product in the area. Our very own family-owned acetaia (vinegar factory) provides the balsamic vinegar used in many of our dishes, adding a rich, complex layer of flavor to our meals. This connection to the land and its traditions is something we deeply cherish, and it reflects our commitment to offering only the best to our clients.

Alongside him is our experienced maître d’ Elisa Magnoni, who was previously a sous-chef and pastry chef, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and receives exceptional service.
Chef Marco Cucinotta and Chef Martina Grenzi complete the kitchen team, working together to perfect every dish and offering the best pairings of food and wine to enhance your dining experience. We take great care in selecting wines that not only reflect the best of the Modenese region but also offer a variety of options to suit different tastes and preferences. Our menu offers a range of options to suit different tastes and budgets, with most dishes priced between 30- 40 euros: we believe in offering exceptional quality at a reasonable price.
