Tradition, wine and authenticity in the heart of Collio Goriziano
Locanda alle Vigne is located in Cormòns, at the heart of the Collio Goriziano, a region renowned for its wines and traditions. It was established within the Subida di Monte farm, which, with over 50 years of history blending tradition and innovation, has become a regional benchmark in the wine industry. A haven for wine lovers, Cormòns—nestled in the rolling hills of Friuli Venezia Giulia—celebrates a rich cultural tapestry and is home to some of the finest white wine vineyards in the region.
These lands stand out for their natural beauty and unique soil composition: the Flysch, locally known as “Ponca,” is a blend of marl and sandstone, creating one of the most favorable conditions for grapevine cultivation.
In an environment immersed in nature, we offer a unique dining experience with carefully crafted dishes served in artisanal earthenware pots, custom-made for us. These pots travel straight from the kitchen to your table, fostering a genuine sense of conviviality. It’s an evocative moment to savor our offerings, which reflect the authenticity and essence of this land.
The beauty of the surrounding nature is mirrored in the details of our establishment—through thoughtful choices of materials, furnishings, fabrics, fragrances, sensations, and lighting. Our culinary approach evokes the flavors of the past, embracing the simplicity and authenticity of true Friulian cuisine. Taste and aroma come together to complement the wines from our Subida di Monte cellar, along with a curated selection of Friulian wines.
Our menu highlights a careful selection of cured meats and cheese from local producers, paired with vegetables from our garden. Traditional dishes take center stage, such as Frico, seasonal herb omelets, our rigorously handmade pasta, gnocchi, risottos, and soups, all prepared in adherence to our culinary heritage. To conclude, our desserts are crafted from recipes lovingly passed down from our grandmothers. The Locanda alle Vigne is rooted in the history of the Subida di Monte farm. It all began in 1972 when Luigi Antonutti, a pioneer of Friulian winemaking, fell in love with the land and the fruits these hills yield.
He purchased a few hectares in the heart of Collio Goriziano, establishing the Subida di Monte farm. Over the years, it has expanded and now encompasses 10 hectares of vineyards, woods, and orchards. Thanks to the dedication of Andrea, Luigi’s son, who closely oversees the entire production chain, Subida di Monte remains a cornerstone of the regional wine scene. The wines are crafted with the utmost respect for nature and the land, without synthetic chemicals, pesticides, or herbicides. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, producing an average of 40,000 bottles annually.
