Alla Cucina delle Langhe restaurant: discover Piedmont in Milan!
Alla Cucina delle Langhe was born in 1964 as a” neighborhood restaurant” from the initiative of Adelio Grasso, from Calosso d’Asti, who was willing to bring the typical Piedmontese cuisine to a place that, at the time, was a peripheral area of Milan; but the place was close to the headquarters of the important daily newspaper “Corriere della Sera” for which all the journalists and writers of the epoch loved a breakfast or dinner in this new place. This is how it began to become famous and
then took the name of “Alla Cucina delle Langhe”. The area grew in the 80s and the place was taken over by a group of partners-friends who already managed various restaurants in the nearby Brera area and who, out of respect for tradition, kept the name of the restaurant and some dishes as well. This group of people was led by Adelio Sassi, who would bring the restaurant to the success it can still boast, after more than 20 years.
Located in what is now the heart of the Milanese nightlife, the Alla Cucina delle Langhe restaurant offers a quiet location in the middle of the pedestrian area of Corso Como, one of the most beautiful and most central areas of Milan.
The historic restaurant in Corso Como Alla Cucina delle Langhe is the ideal place for a business lunch or a company meeting: the hospitable environment and the numerous private rooms of the restaurant offer
the perfect atmosphere to enjoy delicious lunches and dinners. But it is also a perfect place for tourists, who have here the opportunity to try Italian specialties without leaving the city Centre, easy to reach and ideal for its proximity to the main places of interest in Milan. Artists, journalists, industrialists still meet at Alla Cucina delle Langhe, in the name of professionalism and taste.
Recognized as a historic activity by the Lombardy Region in 2014, this important recognition is proudly carried forward since 2016 by the new management. For more than fifty years Alle Cucina delle Langhe has been offering the typical Piedmontese flavors combined with those of Lombardy and the Mediterranean area. In fact the menu aims to revive classic recipes from Northern Italy, accompanying them with Mediterranean dishes and quality, together with well-known wines! We also have gluten-free pasta to enjoy choosing from our wide variety of sauces.
Our mission is to offer high quality dishes in full respect of the seasonality of raw materials. Among the dishes that we warmly recommend, our meat: you will have the opportunity to taste an excellent Fiorentina or Scottona steak matured ad hoc. All of this can be accompanied by a selection of enviable wines: the wine list offers a wide choice of excellent wines to accompany selected dishes. Red, white and rosé wines from all over Italy; Champagne, classic method and grappas that reflect the nuances of a territory rich in tradition. And again Nebbiolo, Barbera, Barolo, Dolcetto, but also Pinot, Chianti and Amarone… the wine you like the most to enhance the flavors of our cuisine. The excellent reviews of our customers also speak of Alle Cucina delle Langhe, those who know us and those who have happened upon us by chance on their tour in the center of Milan. Not only our cuisine and our elegant location are recommended, but also the qualification of the staff; always friendly and helpful, it really wants your experience in our restaurant to be absolutely unforgettable.
