OUR COMPANY
The Luca Ricci company was founded in 1999 from a long family tradition made up of experience and passion. A story that begins with the grandfather, an enologist, continues with the father, a farmer and is now enriched with new and competent energy. Whether they are the products of our fields or life experiences, we always try to take the best from the magnificent land we live on to give it to those who can best appreciate it. This is why our soul is threefold: we are farmers, wine producers, and innkeepers.

We believe in the family and give space to young people, which is why at least half of our employees are under the age of forty, but we don’t forget to respect the wisdom of our grandparents: this is why we never lose sight of our historical and cultural journey.

For us, innovation does not mean forgetting the past. On the contrary, it means understanding the profound
mechanisms that are hidden in traditional techniques and bringing them into modern context, with the means and possibilities that knowledge places at our disposal.

We have a solid tradition but our knowledge is not confined to the distant past. Our company is particularly attentive to the natural evolution of taste and consumer expectations. Our products are specifically designed and grown for contemporary needs. We observe change and grasp the market trends to implement these needs. The success of Prosecco has provided us with the necessary determination to make a wine appreciated by the most demanding palates and the growth of wine tourism has convinced us to make our Country House “Le Fade” available to “travellers of taste.”
OUR CHOICES
The defense of crops to counteract the aggression of harmful insects is practiced with the most natural methods possible. Keeping the land monitored allows us to act with targeted interventions and not to use crop protection products unnecessarily. In the vineyards that give life to our red wines we use green pruning techniques, such as splitting and thinning. This allows us to obtain grapes of the highest quality and limit defensive interventions, resulting in free and well-ventilated bunches.
IDEAS AND TECHNICAL INNOVATION
We are convinced that agriculture is a delicate balance between man and nature. Thus, we have decided to act on this principle in respect for the harmony of the landscape. Thanks to modern techniques, the vineyards are built on slopes instead of terraces and follow the hilly course. In this way we can use agricultural machinery without compromising their hydrogeological stability and the integrity of the environment.
