Casa Farive: a 40-year story among the hills of Valdobbiadene

In 1982 Luigi Vedova, who was only 22 years old at the time, founded a winery with his brother in the hills of the Valdobbiadene area, in San Pietro di Barbozza, in the province of Treviso. An area with a long winemaking tradition in which this project has entered with great passion. In fact, the winery takes its name from the Vedova family, who since the 19th century have been cultivating vines in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore area.
Passion and tradition
Prosecco Superiore, centerpiece of the winery for 40 years, is a product whose full potential has been immediately seen by Luigi, who managed to make it famous also in the main foreign markets. Over time, the company has opened up to new technologies, also focusing on Biodiversity certified cultivation systems, which encourage sustainable cultivation, with low impact on the territory and which promotes abundance, distribution and interaction between different life forms in the environmental ecosystem. All of this, however, without ever forgetting the origins, the secrets handed down from previous generations and the traditions of the territories.
Prosecco Superiore is produced from grapes ripened exclusively in the historic vineyards of San Pietro di

Barbozza which, thanks to their southern position, enjoy maximum exposure to the sun and, at the same time, the winds coming from the plains. The unique combination of atmospheric agents and soil properties gives the grapes specific mineral characteristics, which you can recognize in the soft floral and fruity scents of the wine, reminiscent of Golden apple, peach and apricot and elegant hints of acacia flowers and wisteria, which make it unmistakable. A wine that is well suited to the Horeca channel, thanks to its ability to be appreciated even by a less expert consumer, who appreciates an elegant wine. The ideal companion for a meal of white meat or fish or for a classy
aperitif.
The holiday farm: an oasis of taste and peace The passion for wines and local products is combined with a warm welcome at Agriturismo Vedova. The staff is ready to welcome you in the restaurant, in the beautiful rooms overlooking the vineyards to spend the night or in the small tavern.
In La Vedova holiday farm it is possible to taste the wines produced in the cellars owned by Vedova family, which have won numerous national and international awards. In addition to the wine tasting, it is also possible to buy cured meats, such as salami, sopressa and cotechini.
