In one of the most beautiful and ancient squares of Florence, called Piazza del Carmine, away from the many tourist routes, the Napoleone restaurant was born 19 years ago after a long and fine restoration inside a building from the 1300s. Furniture, paintings, chandeliers and even knick-knacks come from all over the world and make this place as unique and fascinating as the city that hosts it. The restaurant is located in San Frediano in the heart of the Florentine Oltrarno between the liveliest and most fascinating districts of the city and of Italy, the last bastion of Florentine lifestyle thanks to the presence of ancient artisan shops, but also a cosmopolitan district full of trendy bars. Every room, every corner tells about itself through lights, shadows, colors and abstractions. In the beautiful Piazza del Carmine in front of the Brancacci Chapel, the Napoleone restaurant owns an outdoor area that can host up to 100 people to enjoy the spring and summer months in peace. Here you can taste traditional Florentine dishes such as peposo all’Imprunetina and the best Florentine steak in Florence. Dishes based on very fresh fish such as spaghetti or tagliolini with lobster, homemade gnocchi with crab, spaghetti with clams or tagliolini with zucchini flowers, prawns and fresh truffle, we also offer many dishes with truffles such as gnocchi with gorgonzola and fresh truffle and risotto with saffron and fresh truffle, and lots of pizzas cooked in our wood oven.
